Maria Payri

Researcher

Maria Payri is a researcher in the Youth, Family, and Community Development program at AIR. Payri has over 10 years of experience as an evaluator with expertise in qualitative research and survey design for large-scale federal studies such as the National Household Education Study (NHES), where she serves as qualitative lead and oversees the quality of Spanish translations.

Payri also serves as the evaluation lead for the School Connectedness and the Mental Health Demonstration Projects for the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention Division on Adolescent and School Health, working closely with district leads and overseeing qualitative and quantitative data collection. Payri is currently growing her research portfolio in AIR’s Full Service Community Schools (FSCS) work by serving as project director of the Southeast Alaska FSCS evaluation and as the implementation lead of the Lewis University FSCS evaluation.
