What About Your School? Building Trust and Well-Being Through Trauma-Informed Communities
This third webinar in a three-part series, Teaching and Leading With Trauma-Informed Care, sponsored by the Center on Great Teachers and Leaders (GTL Center) explored how district and school leaders can better prepare themselves for providing trauma-informed leadership to their communities.
Despite daunting circumstances and few guidelines, district and school leaders are serving their communities and ensuring the safety and well-being of schools and families nationwide. As we consider reopening schools, building trust in our school communities will be paramount to our shared success. We offered a framework and strategies for building optimal school communities and conditions focused on equity, safety, relationships, educator mindset, and emotional well-being and regulation.
