Elizabeth Adams
Elizabeth Adams is an expert in quantitative research design, including quasi‑experimental and causal inference methods, and in the development and validation of measures related to student learning, engagement, and well-being across K–12 and postsecondary educational contexts. She conducts applied research and evaluation with a focus on interventions that promote students’ STEM learning and affective outcomes such as student engagement and well-being.
Dr. Adams currently leads a portfolio of applied research and evaluation projects and provides methodological guidance to interdisciplinary teams. She works closely with partners nationwide, with a strong concentration of collaborators in Texas, including community colleges, universities, school systems, foundations, and intermediary organizations. Her work has been disseminated through conference presentations, technical and evaluation reports, peer‑reviewed journal articles, and book chapters. She approaches her work with an emphasis on supporting partners in using data and evidence to inform policy, practice, and continuous improvement.
Dr. Adams previously served as a STEM Researcher at Southern Methodist University, an analyst with Dallas Independent School District, and as an elementary classroom teacher in Wake County Public Schools.
