Senior TA Consultant

Lakecia Whimper is Illinois CSI's senior performance management officer and a member of the center’s senior leadership team. In her role as the senior performance management officer she is charged with providing strategic leadership by leading the design and implementation of the performance management system for Illinois CSI. The performance management system tracks and assesses the impact of Statewide System of Support services in school districts throughout the state. In addition, she analyzes, diagnoses, and recommends solutions and supportive interventions to assist Illinois CSI staff in serving school districts. In collaboration with Illinois CSI staff, internal, and external stakeholders, assess the overall effectiveness of district and school improvement services.

Previously, Lakecia was the strategic consultant for Chicago Public Schools (CPS). In this position, Lakecia assisted senior leadership with the CPS five-year action plan and various departments with continuous improvement as it related to the district's priorities. She supported networks and schools in building capacity in strategic planning and data-informed decisions around improving student achievement. At the district level, she provided systems support leading the development of the early warning system at the third grade through high school.
