Mengli Song
Mengli Song specializes in research design, advanced quantitative methods, and evaluations of educational programs and policy. She has more than 20 years of experience in educational research and evaluation.
Dr. Song currently serves as the co-principal investigator/evaluation lead of two Education Innovation and Research mid-phase grants funded by the Office of Innovation and Improvement, both focusing on teacher professional development programs. Previously, she co-directed the Center on Standards, Alignment, Instruction, and Learning, a research and development center funded by the Institute for Education Science (IES). She also served as the principal investigator of an efficacy follow-up study on the impact of Early College high schools and as the quantitative task lead for multiple large-scale randomized controlled trials funded by IES. Her work has been presented at national conferences and published as technical reports, a book and book chapters, and award-winning articles in peer-reviewed journals.
Dr. Song holds certifications in both What Works Clearinghouse Group Design Standards (Version 5.0) and What Works Clearinghouse Regression Discontinuity Design Standards (Version 4.1).
