AIR Named an Apprenticeship Ambassador by the U.S. Department of Labor; Will Continue to Promote and Support Registered Apprenticeships

The American Institutes for Research (AIR) has been named an Apprenticeship Ambassador by the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) to help promote and support Registered Apprenticeship opportunities across the nation. (Read the DOL press release)

AIR is part of the second cohort of ambassadors and joins 300 other organizations that are committed to promoting Registered Apprenticeships as a workforce development strategy to meet the needs of high-demand industries and expand equitable opportunities for workers from historically underserved and underrepresented communities. The Apprenticeship Ambassadors represent emerging and high-growth industries, such as information technology/cybersecurity, education, healthcare and clean energy.

Collectively, the second cohort of ambassadors will serve as champions for expanding and diversifying Registered Apprenticeship and have committed to developing new Registered Apprenticeship programs and resources and hosting outreach, recruitment and training activities.

AIR has extensive experience partnering with public agencies and private sector organizations to advance apprenticeships and work-based learning at the national, state, and local level. The AIR team of policy, technical assistance, research and evaluation experts are working to advance apprenticeship as a talent development strategy.
