AIR Website Wins APEX Award for Publication Excellence

Washington, D.C. – The American Institutes for Research (AIR) has received an APEX Award for Publication Excellence in recognition of the “overall communications effectiveness” of the content and writing that appears on the nonprofit research organization’s website, www.air.org.

According to APEX 2011 judges, “The awards were based on excellence in graphic design, quality of editorial content and the success of the entry in conveying the message and achieving overall communications effectiveness.” AIR received the award in the “Web & Intranet Site Content & Writing” category.

“The AIR website is one of our primary vehicles for disseminating our work to the policymakers, practitioners, and people who need it most,” said Patrick Riccards, AIR’s Executive Director of Communications and Public Affairs.

“In communicating the relevance of complex research, it is important to convey that message in a way that all understand and all can move into practice. We are honored that APEX has recognized the AIR team for succeeding in such a communications challenge,” he said.

With more than 3,300 entries, competition was exceptionally intense, according to the judges.
