American Institutes for Research’s Matthew Clifford to Participate in a Conference of the National Association of Elementary School Principals

Washington, D.C. – Matthew Clifford, Ph.D., a senior research scientist at the American Institutes for Research (AIR), will discuss what research shows about various approaches for evaluating school principals during a panel discussion hosted by the National Association of Elementary School Principals’ (NAESP) during its National Leaders Conference on July 14, 2011. The event will be held at the Hyatt Regency Washington in Washington, D.C., Room Columbia C, starting at 9:15 a.m.

Clifford and Steven M. Ross, Ph.D., professor of education, Center for Research and Reform in Education, Johns Hopkins University will discuss their joint review of the latest research on principal evaluation systems. Other panelists include Robert Monson, president of NAESP and principal of Parkston Elementary School in South Dakota, and Gail Connelly, NAESP executive director.
