Two Adult Education Experts from the American Institutes for Research Honored at the California Adult Education Administrators Association’s Annual Conference
Washington, D.C. – Two experts from the American Institutes for Research (AIR) who work on its California Adult Literacy Professional Development Project (CALPRO), were recently honored with awards at the California Adult Education Administrators Association (CAEAA) annual conference for their work in the adult education field.
Mariann Fedele, project director of CALPRO and a senior research analyst at AIR, received the "Visionary Leadership" award. Jacques LaCour, a senior research analyst at AIR and deputy director of CALPRO, was given the "Innovation in Adult Education" award.
The CALPRO project, a multi-year contract awarded to AIR by the California Department of Education (CDE), Adult Education Office, provides a comprehensive system of research-based professional development for adult education and literacy teachers and administrators in order to ensure that California meets federal and state expectations for quality instruction.
