Roddy Theobald

Managing Researcher

Roddy Theobald is a managing researcher in the Center for Analysis of Longitudinal Data in Education Research (CALDER) at AIR. His primary responsibilities include overseeing eight externally-funded research projects related to the teacher labor market and its implications for student outcomes. He has extensive experience using large administrative datasets to estimate econometric models that investigate policy questions of broad interest to education policymakers.

Previously, Dr. Theobald was a research assistant at the Center for Education Data and Research (CEDR) at the University of Washington and a 7th-grade math teacher in the Oakland (CA) Unified School District.
