Technical Support for Office of Planning, Research & Evaluation (OPRE) Conferences

The Administration for Children & Families (ACF) within the Department of Health & Human Services promotes the economic and social well-being of families, children, youth, individuals, and communities through funding, strategic partnerships, guidance, training, and technical assistance. ACF's Office of Planning, Research & Evaluation (OPRE) studies ACF programs and the populations they serve through rigorous research and evaluation projects.

AIR manages all logistics and communications, facilitates agenda development, and provides onsite support and post-event analysis for two OPRE conferences, the Research and Evaluation Conference on Self-Sufficiency (RECS) and the National Research Conference on Early Childhood (NRCEC), both happening in 2026 and 2028.

AIR staff has managed RECS (previously known as the Welfare Research and Evaluation Conference) since 2004 and NRCEC since 2016.

My experience as a moderator was the best out of any conference I have ever presented at. The directions, guidance and information was amazing.
