Since the first Surgeon General’s Report was released in 1964, scientific evidence on smoking and disease has expanded, linking exposure to tobacco smoke with an ever-increasing number of diseases and adverse health consequences. AIR continues to assist the CDC in the production of the report.
AIR is conducting a five-year, $16 million Teacher and Leader Evaluation Systems (TLES) study, which will provide rigorous evidence on whether teacher and leader evaluation systems in selected school districts have their intended impacts on student achievement.
As long as accountability systems have been in place, AIR has conducted research and evaluation on the design and implementation of these policies. Our work spans accountability activities from developing performance indicators to providing supports to districts and schools.
