Insights for Student Success and Engagement Summer Training Institute
Based on results and feedback from schools on how to improve student engagement and address barriers to on-time graduation, AIR launched the Insights for Student Success and Engagement Summer Training Institute.
From July 14-16, 2026, we provided an immersive professional learning experience that equipped leaders and staff with practical tools and strategies to build a student-centered, data-driven system of support.
Experts and district and secondary school teams from around the country gathered to share evidence-based strategies with an eye toward improving attendance, engagement, and academic outcomes for high school students.
This is my 20th year as a school counselor and this was by far the BEST PD I have attended. Continue the great work. Thank you for introducing the Insights strategies.

Focus of the Institute
To transform school support systems with practical tools and real world collaboration. Participants learned proven frameworks for building student centered systems, collaborated with experts and peers nationwide, strengthened staff and schoolwide capacity for sustainable improvement, and left with personalized action plans.
To integrate, not reinvent. We helped participants embed new learning into what their schools already use. Because Insights adapts to the current strengths and systems within schools, it is both resilient and sustainable and helps participants attain measurable student improvement and outcomes.
