Anlan Zhang

Anlan Zhang is a senior researcher in the Education Statistics program at AIR with over eleven years of experience in the analysis and reporting of federal education-related data. Her primary responsibilities include leading the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES) Digest of Education Statistics report and leading and supporting various data quality and analysis activities for the Department of Education Office of Elementary and Secondary Education.

Previously, Zhang served as the task lead and AIR author for the Indicators of School Crime and Safety report for several years. Zhang has extensive experience in conducting data analysis in SAS using national-level education and household datasets such as the Common Core of Data and American Community Survey as well as reporting analysis findings through tables, figures, and indicators that meet NCES reporting standards.
