Cassandra Meyer
Cassandra Meyer is a senior technical assistance consultant at AIR. Her work focuses on educator quality and district and school improvement. Meyer conducts research and literature reviews and writes reports for federal, state, district, and school-level projects. She facilitates school, district, and state-level meetings, helping clients in a variety of projects analyze data, consider research, and come to consensus around goals.
Meyer works with the Center on Great Teachers and Leaders on educator effectiveness projects. She supports the roll-out of statewide educator evaluation processes in several states, including the implementation of student learning objectives as a measure of student growth in teacher evaluation. With district clients, Meyer facilitated the decision-making around a new teacher evaluation system in several school districts. Meyer previously spent two years teaching middle school social studies in a low-income community in rural Louisiana as part of the Teach For America program.
