Ruhan Circi
Ruhan Circi is a principal data scientist at AIR. In this role, she participates in National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP) research study design, analysis, quality control, and report writing activities. Currently, she is leading a variety of NAEP process data projects, including data management and quality checking, students’ navigation strategies, and testing behaviors, to inform different elements of the assessment cycle.
Dr. Circi has expertise in research methodology, quantitative data analysis, and data visualization and has contributed to many journal articles and reports on the topic of assessment systems and design. She participated in development of assessments, evaluation tools, and analysis plans. She conducted various analyses for the validation of the studies including but not limited to the factor analytic methods and different reliability measures.
Before AIR, Dr. Circi worked as a quantitative analyst at a start-up company working with a team of engineers to create simulation-based assessments and analyze assessment data. Previously, she worked as a research scientist where she provided technical support and project management for the overall research agenda.
