Tiffini Pruitt-Britton

Dr. Tiffini Pruitt-Britton is a dedicated researcher and educator with extensive expertise in mathematics education, educational equity, and disproportionality in special education. She has a strong background in curriculum and instruction, with a focus on culturally responsive teaching and mathematics. With over a decade of experience in education, Dr. Pruitt-Britton has taught at the college and secondary levels, designed and implemented research projects, and developed training materials aimed at improving educational outcomes for marginalized students, especially those from Black, Latino/a communities and students experiencing disabilities. She currently leads various projects focused on educational equity, executive function development, and mathematics performance.

As a co-principal investigator and project director on various projects, Dr. Pruitt-Britton’s work spans research, technical assistance, and policy development. Her projects, including evaluations of hybrid learning models and math interventions, aim to increase access to quality education and improve outcomes for underserved populations. Dr. Pruitt-Britton is actively involved in multiple NSF-funded projects that bridge community engagement and innovative curriculum development. She has presented nationally on her work in equity-focused pedagogy and mathematics instruction, and her research has been published in several peer-reviewed journals.
