Final Performance Evaluation of Vamos Tejiendo

In Colombia’s sugar cane and flower sectors, women workers face persistent challenges such as low wages, informal labor, gendered roles, and limited opportunities for growth. These conditions not only infringe on labor rights but also perpetuate cycles of inequality, making targeted interventions critical to improving livelihoods and fostering equity.
Women in the sugar sector earn very low wages: as little as $25-$125 monthly for 14-hour days.
AIR is conducting the final performance evaluation of the Vamos Tejiendo initiative, a project implemented by Pact Colombia to address these challenges by promoting economic participation and improving job quality through collaborative governance models. Using a mixed-methods approach, AIR’s evaluation focuses on assessing the project’s relevance, effectiveness, and sustainability, drawing on inputs from stakeholders and fieldwork insights.
